Alberta Rose Cremation Urn Insert

In 2008 we were asked by our master woodworker craftsman and friend Bob Bryce of Innisfail to make a stained glass insert for some Cremation Urns that he was making.  The first one shows the Alberta Rose with a light blue sky glass with the solder being left silver, inserted into a light finished oak urn. Notice the exquisite dove tail construction and beautiful finish of the urn.

The next picture is the same Alberta Rose design, however we used a sunset glass along with black patina finish for the solder. Unfortunately Bob Bryce no longer creates masterpieces in his woodworking studio.

Great Horned Owl – New Home in Ontario

Many years ago we made our first Great Horned Owl which was commissioned by clients who live in Toronto, Ontario.

They recently moved this piece of stained glass to their country home north of Toronto. The picture shows the Great Horned Owl hanging in it’s new location. Our clients also have the Great Blue Heron and the Mountain Lion hanging in their country home

As stained glass artists are always very pleased to see our work many years after it was completed and still in pristine condition and so much apart of peoples homes and lives.

Lake Sunset – Donation

We were asked if we would donate a piece of our work to The Central Alberta Constituencies – Wildrose – Classic – Golf – Tournament held on July 18, 2013 at Alberta Springs Golf Course located near Red Deer Alberta as a silent auction fun raising item.

We made this oval piece highlighted with Spectrum’s Pearl Opal Blue Yonder for the water, along with their Thunderhead for mountains and Inferno for the sunset sky. For the tree we used Uroboros Heringbone Granite Ripple with a Kokomo green amber surrounding the water.  As the golf course is located close to Sylvan Lake we called this “Lake Sunset”
