The City of Calgary in 2022 designated the Black Capped Chickadee as the Official Bird of Calgary, which prompted us to make and donate this panel which measures about 13 inches in diameter. with a 1/2 inch zinc frame.
We donated this panel to The Wild Bird Store located at 5901-3rd St. SE, Calgary Alberta. Their plan is to auction off the panel for the stores anniversary which will be on Saturday September 30, 2023.
They intend on selling tickets and will start advertising this in their August and September newsletters to get people excited about the event. All of the proceeds will be split between Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society and Alberta Institute for Wildlife Recovery. These are very worth while causes and we hope that the results from ticket sales will benefit their organizations.
The Wild Bird Store also sells other stained glass birds, butterflies and night lights that we supply to them.

This Peak design was a commission from the Order of Eastern Star as a gift for The Most Worthy Grand Matron from the USA. It was presented to her at the Alberta Grand Chapter meeting held in early June at Olds Alberta. This suncatcher measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide by 6 1/2 inches high. We had a beautiful piece of Youghiogheny art glass #1567, from which we used and matched the design across the suncatcher, adding bevels and inserting our Alberta Rose.
Original Design by George Shannon & Pat Torlen published in their book titled Stained Glass Projects and Patterns, modified by Flory Wilkins
We have a client who obtains from us 4 Christmas Tree Ornaments each year, that she gives away as family gifts. This year she brought us a rough sketch of her own design, featuring a lady in a coat. As well, she gives us her color ideas and we go from there. Once again she was thrilled with what we created for her. These Christmas Tree Ornaments measured approximately 3 inches wide by 3.5 inches high.
