Great Horned Owl – New Home in Ontario

Many years ago we made our first Great Horned Owl which was commissioned by clients who live in Toronto, Ontario.

They recently moved this piece of stained glass to their country home north of Toronto. The picture shows the Great Horned Owl hanging in it’s new location. Our clients also have the Great Blue Heron and the Mountain Lion hanging in their country home

As stained glass artists are always very pleased to see our work many years after it was completed and still in pristine condition and so much apart of peoples homes and lives.

Great Blue Heron at it’s New Home in Ontario

We just received this picture taken by our clients of the Great Blue Heron panel commission that made a successful trip from Innisfail,  Alberta to Toronto, Ontario in March of this year. Subsequently,  it has now traveled north of Toronto to an area of rolling hills and beautiful scenery.

Loon Oval Panel 2006

In 2006 we made this Oval Loon Panel for a client who now lives in Calgary. We used Spectrum’s Baroque Black/White/Clear for the Loon and it was cut from one piece of glass to ensure matching and flow of the colors. The sky is a Kokomo, and we used Uroboros for the hills, with Spectrum Sky Blue Wispy and a very pretty darker Kokomo for the water. The panel was edged with a sculptured brass along with black patina and polish.

The next picture shows a close up of the Loon and the detail of the Spectrum Baroque glass.
