The Gladiola flower is represented in the alphabet letter “G”. We believe that we made this suncatcher letter about 10 – 12 years ago. As Gladiolas’s come in many colors one can choose different flower and letter colors to suit the tastes and decor of whom they plan on giving one to or for their own home.

Tena one of our daughters obtained this beveled suncatcher many years ago and unfortunately it fell and needed repair. Upon taking it all apart there were 2 bevels broken.
We then rebuilt the suncatcher with the new bevels, fixed the bent wire, cleaned and polished. A good idea for someone building a new one, it is best to bead all of the bevel edges prior to assembly as it results in a much better looking finished piece. The picture below shows the completed and restored suncatcher,

Over the years we have made these beautiful Tear Drop Hearts, which also has a hanging Swarovski Strass Crystal. We use Spectrum granite iridescent, along with frosted glass and they measure approximately 8 inches high x 7 inches wide, complete with a fine silver chain. When using clear glass we like to put black patina on the solder lines, but one must ensure to use black backed foil (7/32) to further enhance your piece, along with using Kwik Clean for cleaning and polish to make this wonderful suncatcher. These make wonderful gifts as they complement many decors.

The Daffodil flower is very pretty for the Alphabet Floral Letter “D”. In this instance we did not make a surrounding border and this piece measures approximately 6 x 6 inches. As with any of these Alphabet Letters one has to use the flower colors but one can then pick and choose the glass color and textures for the individual letters.
This alphabet floral letter D shown was surrounded by Glue Chip frosted glass, and this piece measures approximately 9.5 inches high x 8 inches wide, the silver hanging chain was soldered in to the seams.

The Calla Lily flower was used for this alphabet letter piece. We used glue chip glass for the background, with pastel colors for the flower and leaves. As with all of these alphabet floral letters they were made some 8 – 10 years ago before we had a digital camera. Most of these alphabet flora letters were 50th wedding anniversary gifts.
