Jesus With Five Children Church Window

This was the second last church window that we did for the Sunnybrook Farm Museum’s Willowdale Presbyterian Church. This window was approximately 26 inches wide by 57 inches high and contained nearly 500 pieces of glass. We used a variety of art glass from Bullseye, Wissmach, Kokomo, Uroboros, Youghiogheny, Oceana and Oceanside (Spectrum).

The next photo is a close up of Jesus with the 5 children. The donor for this window had lost a very young son in a farm accident many years ago and we were very honored to make this window on behalf of the donor and their family.

Once again this design was a collaboration between the donor, ourselves and Martha Hanson of Paned Expressions Studios.

“Praying Hands” New Window-Willowdale Church at Sunnybrook Farm Museum Red Deer

This is the first of 4 new windows for the Willowdale Zion Presbyterian Church at the Sunnybrook Farm Museum in Red Deer Alberta. All of these windows measure some 26 inches wide by 57 inches high, cathedral shaped. This design was prompted by the donor of the window and through consultations with ourselves and Martha Hanson of Paned Expressions Studios in Edgewood Maryland, the pattern was created.

This window consisted of 182 pieces of stained glass, constructed with the copper foil method ( we use 7/32 Black Backed foil, with all lines hand soldered. We clean with Kwik Clean – use Novacan Black Patina – and polish with Kem-Pro Clarity polish.

It took us several weeks to compete and deliver for installation.

The following photo shows our work in progress on building this window.
