Chickadee Nite Lights 2020

The Wild Bird Store in Calgary asked if we could make Nite Lights for them. They wanted handmade in Alberta Stained Glass items.  We converted our Chickadee and Alberta Rose design for one and came up with another Chickadee design for the 2nd one.

These Nite Lights measure approximately 4 inches wide x 3 inches high and they are attached to an Ivory Base night light fixture with a white light bulb.

These Nite Lights can be bought at the Wild Bird Store in Calgary – located at 5901 – 3 Street SE., Calgary, Alberta. The link to their website is    https://www.wildbirdstore.ca/

Garden Bee and Poppy 2020

One of our clients often closes her messages with a Buzzzzzz notation which prompted us to design a rod poppy with a bumble bee attached as a gift to her.

This is another design to our Garden collection of plant pokes.

Garden Butterfly & Poppy

We were asked by our granddaughter Poppy if we could make a Garden Poppy with a Butterfly for her teacher. From her suggestion we came up this design of a Poppy flower, with a small Butterfly attached.

With a rod attached this is another enhancement to our Garden collection of rod Butterflies, Dragonflies, Frogs and Ladybugs.

Prairie Lanterns 2020

We decided to make one of these Prairie Style Lanterns. They measure approximately 9 1/2 inches high by 6 inches. The sides have numerous openings and the lid lifts off for votive and candle access. For a quiet evening family supper they add great ambiance to the dinner table.

For the base we used some very old 1/4 inch mirror glass which adds much more stability and strength to the lantern. In addition we attached vinyl feet to the bottom of the lantern so it would not scratch furniture.

We showed the first one to our 6 kids and their significant others to see if they would like them and their answers were a resounding yes. The first one is ours and the other 2 shown went to Leduc, Alberta. The glass colors used depend upon the colors requested by our various family members. We now are working on making 4 more of these with many varied colored combinations.
